Building Recovery Capital
$100.00
Description
This 2-hour course explores the concept of Recovery Capital, the internal and external resources that support sustained recovery from substance use and other addictive behaviors. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the five types of Recovery Capital—Physical, Human, Social, Community, and Cultural—and learn how these resources interact to create a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
Through real-world examples, self-assessment tools like the Recovery Capital Scale (ReCAPS), and practical activities, learners will identify their current Recovery Capital, recognize areas for growth, and develop actionable strategies to enhance these resources. The course also covers overcoming common barriers to recovery, such as stigma and resource gaps, and provides guidance for creating sustainable recovery plans tailored to individual needs. By the end, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to build Recovery Capital for themselves or those they support.
